Play Therapy

Because every child deserves to feel understood.

At Full Circle Yoga & Therapy, we use the power of play to help children express their feelings, build confidence, and develop lifelong coping skills.

Our bright and engaging play therapy suites cultivate an environment for healing and growing that feels safe, supportive, and fun.

What is play therapy?

Play Therapy is a developmentally appropriate form of counseling that allows children to “speak” in the language they know best; play. Through guided activities and open-ended play, children can:

  • Explore feelings in a safe, non-judgmental environment

  • Build problem-solving and social skills

  • Learn healthy ways to manage emotions

  • Increase self-confidence and resilience

Why Play Therapy Works

A children's playroom with white walls and a large window. The room contains a white comforter, colorful cushions, a variety of toys including dolls, stuffed animals, and toy vehicles on a white shelf, and a dinosaur plush toy on a chair. There's a whiteboard on the wall, and a multicolored rug on the floor.

Play is a child’s natural way of processing the world. In a supportive environment, children can express feelings they can’t yet put into words, practice new skills, and receive validation and guidance from a trusted therapist.

Our play therapy services are especially beneficial for children experiencing:

  • Anxiety, stress, or frequent worries

  • Changes in family life such as divorce or relocation

  • Grief and loss

  • Behavioral challenges at home or school

  • Adjustment after traumatic experiences

  • Emotional regulation difficulties

How Play Therapy Works at Full Circle

Our play therapy sessions are led by highly trained therapists who specialize in working with children.

Each session takes place in a welcoming, thoughtfully designed playroom with toys, games, art supplies, and sensory tools. Our providers use a combination of three main concepts to support kids in their healing and growth:
