KT Mendes
CSW, Associate Therapist
KT Mendes is an East Coast native who moved to Utah for its incredible natural beauty. She is a certified social worker (CSW) and experienced play therapist who brings warmth, curiosity, and a trauma-informed lens to every session. She invokes multiple modalities in their approach to care, including: child-centered play therapy, relational therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
KT specializes in infant and early childhood mental health, supporting young children and their caregivers through challenges big and small. She helps children build a sense of safety and confidence in themselves, while also supporting caregivers in creating secure, joyful connections with their children. Each session is tailored to the unique needs of the family, with the goal of nurturing emotional resilience, mutual understanding, and delight in the caregiver-child relationship.
KT also works with adults across the lifespan, offering a grounded and affirming space for clients to explore personal growth, relational dynamics, identity development, and healing from complex trauma.
They have deep experience supporting clients from the LGBTQ+ community, as well as those navigating Ethical Non-Monogamy (ENM) and other non-traditional relationship structures. Their work with adults is rooted in the belief that therapy should honor each person’s lived experience, capacity for healing, and individual vision of what it means to thrive.
Whether you're seeking therapy for yourself, your child, or your family, KT brings presence, playfulness, and attunement to the therapeutic relationship. Clients often describe KT as grounding, compassionate, and someone who truly listens and walks alongside them at their own pace.
Outside of clinical work, KT enjoys time with their partner and three dogs, reading in the sun, or diving into a spontaneous creative project.
