William Schneider

CSW, Associate Therapist

William Schneider is a Certified Social Worker (CSW) in Salt Lake City, Utah, dedicated to helping clients create meaningful change and lasting emotional well-being. With a passion for personal transformation, William believes therapy begins by meeting clients exactly where they are and fostering understanding as the foundation for psychological healing.

William provides evidence-based mental health counseling for individuals, couples, and families, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). He takes a holistic approach, integrating both top-down (psychotherapy) and bottom-up (somatic) methods to address the mind-body connection and support sustainable growth.

Before becoming a therapist, William spent nearly a decade serving as a first responder. He worked five years in military law enforcement, followed by four years with Child Protective Services (CPS), where he served on the severe physical and sexual abuse team as both investigator and lead worker. These experiences give him unique insight into trauma, crisis situations, and resilience.

In addition to his professional work, William values time with family and friends, staying active at the gym, playing guitar and ukulele, and exploring new hobbies. Outside of sessions, you might find him rolling dice in a Dungeons & Dragons game or enjoying the outdoors with loved ones.

Whether you are navigating trauma, life transitions, stress, or relationship challenges, William offers a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to explore, heal, and grow.
