Adam Beckstead

CSW, Associate Therapist

Adam Beckstead is a Certified Social Worker (CSW) offering therapy in-person in Salt Lake City, Utah and by telehealth throughout Utah. With a background in developmental psychology and a Master of Social Work from the University of Utah, Adam supports clients in creating lasting, meaningful change through a personalized and compassionate approach.

Adam specializes in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), helping adults manage anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, identity exploration, and faith transitions. He integrates ACT with Zen mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and narrative therapy to support clients in understanding their experiences beyond diagnosis. His transdiagnostic approach fosters growth through deep, reflective, and honest conversations.

Adam brings a rich background to his therapy work. He has supported youth in residential treatment at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute, interned as a school social worker in the Granite School District, and contributed to research on child development at the University of Minnesota. Most recently, he has focused on helping clients navigate life transitions and existential questions in outpatient therapy settings.

Adam creates a collaborative, client-centered space where individuals feel empowered to explore, heal, and move forward. He believes meaningful therapy is about engaging with the process—not just the content—and offers a warm, nonjudgmental presence rooted in curiosity and care.

When he's not in session, Adam enjoys wilderness camping, meditation, journaling, cooking, and lifelong learning.
