Current Student Expectations: How to Meet Them Ethically & Without Appropriating
Lecture & Discussion + Practice + How to Apply

Physically demanding classes are some of the most popular yoga offerings currently, and yet some of the most difficult within which to achieve the outcome that a yoga practice intends philosophically.

How do you get students to work hard, move, and do it with ethical integrity? How do we reframe this idea of yoga being fitness so that students still use their bodies and have their expectations met while understanding with clarity what yoga is about?

This session addresses these challenges with a discussion of current market expectations in relation to more active classes (why they exist/current methods being used to meet them). Participants will then engage in physical practice around these expectations in a way that takes into account individual/personal choice and allows for further exploration and discovery.

The session will close with a methodical approach of identifying starting points to introduce this information & opportunities for progressing into further integration.
