where strong girls grow
Sisterhood Rising is a comprehensive self-actualization program for youth ages 11-14 who identify as girls. This program teaches girls how to stand tall, know their worth, and navigate their lived experiences with confidence and clarity.
Using combinations of movement (yoga, dance, etc), mindfulness, art, constructive dialogue, and peer connection, program participants are immersed in a unique community of support and growth that helps them build healthy perceptions of self and connections within their established social structures.
Sisterhood Rising Objectives Include:
1. Learning how to identify and regulate emotions through mindfulness, movement, and positive body image concepts.
2. Understanding individuality and how it is informed and impacted by perception, culture, mindset, and community.
3. Broadening understanding of identity perception and culture within communities.
