A fellow teacher once said to Erica; “Your teaching style is like ‘salted caramel’- you are authentic, kind and comforting all in one with little morsels of gritty surprises that make me smile and feel extra cared for.”
Erica Walters is a long-time veteran of performing, which lends to her entertaining and playful approach when teaching yoga to kids of all ages, and adults too! Her charismatic personality and warm voice evoke peacefulness, trust, and playfulness in her classes.
Erica teaches yoga at various corporate yoga and school locations across the valley and is honored to be teaching here at Full Circle where she offers her only public classes that are catered to the precious SLC kiddos. Her passion for learning has molded her very specialized yoga approach when it comes to trauma-sensitive yoga, kids yoga, and yoga for people with visible and invisible disabilities.
Erica’s passion for educating children about mindfulness, confidence, health, and exercise was sparked after she was cast as a performer in the high-energy children’s school assembly tour, sponsored by Intermountain Healthcare, which highlighted their ‘8 Healthy Habits’ campaign. The show weaved song, dance, skits and audience participation to create a comprehensive and fun educational experience for children to learn how to live a healthy life and make mindful choices.
Erica earned her 500-hour Yoga Teacher Certification from Mindful & Embodied in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2014.
She is also a certified Reiki healer and a women’s clarity & confidence coach, helping women to recognize their innate light and power through singing, chanting, mantra, and movement so that they can confidently ask for what they need and want in business and relationships in order to live the life they desire and go after their goals.
Erica is available for private instruction for adults and kids, family reunions and parties! (Ask her about her creative kid’s yoga characters that make children’s parties extra fun and active!)
Erica teaches Little Yogi Playtime on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:00AM. This class is suitable for children approximately 2ish to 5ish and is $5 per child. Bring your little yogi to join Erica for an upcoming class:
