Saturdays: November 3rd, 10th, 17th, & 24th
Being a parent of a child with type 1 diabetes is not easy! As caregivers, we must balance the time and resources used by diabetes management along with all the typical requirements of daily life. Join us for this 4-part series to learn essential skills for creating space for your responsibilities as a caregiver while respecting your need for self-care.
ALL PARENTS OF T1D KIDS WELCOME – NO PRIOR YOGA EXPERIENCE NEEDED!

What to Expect
- Use gentle movement to restore compassion for ourselves as individuals
- Practice simple breathing & meditation techniques for increased mindfulness in our daily tasks & interactions
- Explore coping skills for the stress & anxiety often associated with being a caregiver
- Connect with fellow parents of T1D kids who understand your experiences
Facilitated by Kelli Rhees – 300hr registered yoga teacher
Kelli has extensive personal experience with the demands of being a caregiver to a loved one with type 1 diabetes – both her father and son are type 1. She believes that yoga is an invitation to celebrate our humanness and knows that a whole-hearted practice can transform and empower us in all aspects of life. Drawing on 6 years of teaching experience Kelli uses alignment, creative sequencing, and a healthy dose of humor to create a warm and welcoming environment for her students.
