I started practicing yoga as a way to balance the stress that distance running and triathlon put on my body. I tried a lot of styles and studios before falling in love with Baptiste-style power yoga, which offered me both the physical challenge I was seeking and the space for self-discovery and restoration.
Through this practice, I learned to listen to — and understand — my body, and my mat remains one of the few places in an otherwise-busy life that I can be completely focused on my own wellbeing and physical/mental growth. I love the constant opportunities yoga offers for asking big questions, expanding my vision, learning to lead, and getting out of my own way.
I completed my 200-hour teacher training at Salt Lake Power Yoga in 2016. As an instructor, I always come from a place of choice and empowerment. Your practice is yours and yours alone, and I’m here to support you on whatever journey of discovery you are on. Off the mat, I’m happiest when I’m outside hiking, riding my bike, or exploring a new place.
